Black, Catharine F.
Active in the field of historic preservation, Catharine Black has served as the president of Baltimore Heritage, Inc., and as the chairman of the board of the Maryland Historical Trust. She is the coauthor of
Baltimore's Cast-Iron Buildings, has taught art history at Roland Park Country School, and lectured on historic preservation at Goucher College in Maryland. Black has researched historic buildings and districts for Baltimore Commission for Historic and Architectural Preservation and Maryland Historic Trust. She has traveled extensively in the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Caribbean.
