Cohen, A. R.
Illustrator A. R. Cohen received a bachelor of fine arts for paint and printmaking from Carnegie-Mellon University. He also did graduate work at the Maryland Institute of Art and the University of Maryland. He works as a high school art teacher in the Baltimore area.
Cohen works with a variety of media, including pen and ink, watercolor, and paper sculpture. He has designed graphic illustrations for video, painted scenery for several theaters, and taught art and illustration at area colleges and schools. In addition, A. R. Cohen is the original illustrator for the Chadwick the Crab series including Chadwick the Crab, Chadwick & the Garplegrungen, Chadwick Coloring Book, Chadwick’s Wedding, Chadwick Forever, Meet Chadwick and His Chesapeake Bay Friends, and Toulouse.
