Eastman, Peter F.
Peter Eastman, M.D. (1914–2002) author of Advanced First Aid Afloat, Fifth Edition, graduated from Wesleyan University and received his medical degree from the University of Buffalo. After serving abroad in the U.S. Naval Reserve in World War II, he studied surgery at the University of Michigan.
He was a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Numerous papers and articles by Dr. Eastman were published in Annals of Surgery, Surgery, Sail, Sea, Pacific Motor Boat, and Yachting. Dr. Eastman spent many years sailing his yacht Con Tina in the South Pacific, before settling on the shore in Australia.
