Edwards, Fred
Fred Edwards is a thirty-year marine who served in infantry, intelligence, and diplomatic assignments, including two trips to Vietnam. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Park College in Missouri and has completed the graduate-level national security management course given by the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
Edwards has contributed to two dozen maritime and boating publications. He has been the chief editorial writer for national boating education trade journals, a public relations writer for national maritime training organizations, the news bureau chief for a national boating newsletter, and a special correspondent for Armed Forces News.
He is licensed by the Coast Guard as a 100-ton master and has testified as an expert witness on Coast Guard matters. He is an Eagle Scout and has been awarded a Freedom's Foundation George Washington Honor Medal. He is the author of a number of maritime titles, including Making Money with Boats.
