Geer, Charles
Charles Geer grew up on Long Island, New York. He attended Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following the war he attended art school at the Pratt Institute.
Geer has illustrated many children's books, including The Biggest (and Best) Flag That Ever Flew and Sauncey and Mr. King’s Gallery in addition to writing and illustrating his own titles. He also has designed numerous book jackets.
He lives in Maine, where he enjoys sailing, painting watercolors, and buildings boats.
