Gillelan, George Howard
George Howard Gillelan (1917–1998) attended Johns Hopkins University and was a freelance journalist specializing in outdoor subjects. He served as the Eastern Shore correspondent for Maryland Farmer, outdoor editor of the Denton Times-Record, department editor at Outdoor Life, coeditor of Bowhunting Magazine, and a contributor to the Izaak Walton League’s Outdoor America. He wrote several books, including Gunning for Sea Ducks.
