Jones, Rebecca
Graduating from Northwestern University with bachelors and master’s degrees in journalism, Rebecca Jones went on to be a newspaper reporter, television reporter and assignment editor, journalism professor, and magazine editor. She is the author of several books, including The Biggest (and Best) Flag That Ever Flew and The Mystery of Mary Surratt: The Plot to Kill President Lincoln.
A member of the Children’s Book Guild of Washington, she chaired the 2001 Washington Post-Children’s Book Guild Nonfiction Award Committee. She enjoys traveling, swimming, attending theatrical productions, and visiting historic sites.
